Dreaming in Coffee Dream

Belgradians like to drink coffee. It is ordinary and very hip scene on streets in recent times - guys or girls with cup of coffee in one hand, and cell or bag in other, notebook or daily newspapers. Walking. Smiling. Thinking. Laughing. In a hurry.
So, Coffee Dream is (after Greenet), first authentic branded cafeterias in Belgrade. First opened, and in my opinion maybe still with best atmosphere is Coffee Dream in Kralja Petra street just at the corner with main pedestrian Knez Mihailova street. For very lond time I used to create daily routine, take relax after a walk, shopping trip or a hard day at work or faculty and enjoy dreaming in pleasant atmosphere. Aside having coffee-to-go, prefer to go down and find just my place in vaulted winery_cellar_like space and for some time escape from reality.
Look at what Karim Rashid, famous designer, said after visiting Belgrade about social life in some of the most popular cafeteria at the moment. Read also about coffee Dream in Mekenzijeva street in macedonian language in article
About de souffle.

In late 2005 Milos Mirosavic was commissioned to create a new brand for café chain in Belgrade and do interior design of the first one that would promote intended values and identity. The task was to transform 100 m2 two-level retail space in the pedestrian zone of the city into a space that would fit all age and social groups. The street level has been elongated with the use of floor-to-ceiling mirrors and the atmosphere in the lower vaulted space is defined by light.

The second café is set on the first floor of an open shopping mall from the late 80s, which is one of rare steel structures in Belgrade. The aim of design was to liberate space as much as possible and enable uninterrupted views through three fully glazed sides.

The third coffeedream acquired space in 1937-building that was originally designed for kafana (traditional bar, restaurant) and after many different uses, during the past 70 years, has been transformed once again into a place of gathering. Identity of the brand in this project has been slightly modified to correspond to the neighboring park along with terrazzo floor that has been used as a link to the missing part of a building's history.
